Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

As soon as you notice your brewed coffee isn't what you expect clean your brewer. (we're talking espresso machine, automatic brewers typically. You can do this by reading the manual and doing what it says for cleaning. Usually removing a few easy parts and pieces then hand washing as well as running a citric acid or acetic acid through the machine. usually called a "Descaler". Also make sure any filters are also clean. Once cleaned do one or two rinses or run throughs with no coffee. Then brew and see if that made a difference.


#1 read user manual of your appliance there is usually a cleaning section that tells you about how often to clean your appliance and what to use.

Our Bodum coffee brewer suggests once a month. Which was about right. We found at about the 3 week mark the coffee would start to have that old funny brewer taste.
