It’s time to introduce our selves

Hi. Our name is Highwood Coffee, and we are a proudly Calgary-based whole bean coffee delivery service. We're all about quality, sustainability, and making delicious coffee meritocratically available to the masses. We aim to create a new kind of coffee paradigm; one that values community, transparency, and fun (and maybe a dash of anti-snobbery). So, like -- what do you say? Come on over. Take a seat. It's time to get down to business...

It's probably the most recognizable cup in the world. But have you ever stopped to think about how it's produced? are your coffee beans being grown in a sustainable manner? is there something being done to ensure they can be harvested and sold in the future? The answers to these questions and others like them at the heart of sustainability. It's an idea we embrace not only within our company and practices, but within each and every roasted bean we produce here at Highwood Coffee. Our vision of sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We get our energy from Bullfrog Power, not only to offset our own greenhouse gas emissions but also to support green projects nation wide. One of the biggest considerations in selecting a coffee partner is sustainability, which for us should be defined by two elements: social sustainability and environmental sustainability. For instance we are proud to work with this mill. It is one of the first mills which use solar panels (250 panels) to power it’s electric needs. This means that some of your money will be supporting this community’s effort to move towards environmental sustainability in Guatemala.
